DALIDA TURKOVIC

Personal and Professional Development Coach

Dalida has been working in the field of training, coaching and consultancy since 1995.

She has delivered a vast number of programs in Vision, Values & Goals, Leadership and Teambuilding programs for corporate clients in China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mongolia and Thailand. Through her work she has a profound insight into key issues that corporations face in a fast and ever changing environment.

In 2002 Dalida founded her own coaching and consulting company, Small Steps (China) Ltd., with the aim to assist performance enhancement and facilitate change through coaching and consultancy for non-profit organizations, companies and individuals.

In all her work, Dalida is driven by a profound interest in what moves and motivates people. She believes in big change through small steps, whilst keeping the body and mind in balance.

Dalida is a certified NLP Master Practitioner, Master Coach, EQ Coach and EQ Trainer and holds a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from the Belgrade Language University

She is the 6th generation of Bagua lineage and actively applies the martial arts philosophy in her coaching and consultancy.

PETER STRIJDONK

Personal and Professional Development Coach

Having started his career in Egypt, where he worked as a translator and cultural tours guide, Peter relocated to Holland where he switched careers and worked as a cross-cultural trainer and group coach.

Later on he specialized in educational management, leading a training  and assessment center and finally a support center for adult education in Belgium.

In 2008 he moved to China to join Small Steps (China) ltd. as a partner and coach.

His coaching clients come from many different walks of life: singers, actors, photographers, filmmakers, executives, small business owners and NGO staff.

Peter is a International Coaching Academy graduate (CPC), a certified NLP Master Practitioner and a certified trainer.  
He holds a MA in Eastern Philology and International Development from the University of Ghent (Belgium) and graduated in Business Administration at the Higher Economic School of Rotterdam (The Netherlands).




LIU XUYANG

Internal Martial Arts and Qigong Coach

Liu was born in 1972 in Shaanxi Province, China. At age of 12 he started to attain the knowledge of martial arts practice firstly practicing Shaolin Hongquan. Six years later, he had first encounter with Baguazhang practice through Master Sheng Zhi’an, the forth successor of Baguazhang lineage. Sheng Zhi’an’s (coach of Police Corp of Hebei Province and manager of Tangshan City Qigong Association) Taoist monastic name was ’Wu Wei San Ren’ (literal translation would be Scattering People through Non Action) and was a very accomplished master in Martial art, Qigong and Traditional Chinese medicine. After accomplishing successful training with Sheng Zhi’an, Liu Xu Yang opened ‘He song tang’(Crane and Pine Chamber) Qigong healing clinic in city of Tangshan. Liu currently lives and works in Beijing where he continues to promote practice of internal martial arts for health and healing.

As a Kungfu Coach he also assist individuals and leaders in organizations in building confidence and managing stress at work and life.

Elsa Elliott is a Language and Learning Specialist who works privately as a teacher, trainer, and consultant with families and schools in Beijing. She is a qualified graduate teacher with over seventeen years experience and has worked in the field of special educational needs for thirteen years. Elsa has worked in variety of special settings including managing a Development Centre for 4-7 year olds with speech and language disorders. She came to Asia with her husband in 2001 and has worked in international schools in Kuala Lumpur and Beijing.

Elsa is registered as a teacher with the DfEE in the UK, (now the government ‘Department for Children, Schools and Families’; Reg. No. RP9259282). She is accredited by the British Psychological Society as a ‘Specialist Teacher Assessor” and is a professional member of the UK Dyslexia Guild. Elsa is also an accredited ‘Phonics International’ training provider (www.phonicsinternational.com).




ZHAO MIN

Coach

Zhao Min has been working in the field of training, coaching and consultancy for 12 years. She has acquired extensive experience in programs on communication skills, virtues, teambuilding, personal development, and leadership.

Zhao Min is a strong believer in bringing out the best in everyone and realizing his/her own dream. She has coached leaders to identify their development paths through discovery of their values and proven instruments such as MBTI/HBDI/PDP.

Zhao Min’s previous experience with Andersen Consulting, AchieveGlobal and IBM gave her a wide range of exposure to understand the various needs and values of managers and employees in organizations and how they can fulfill their very own dreams through meaningful work.

Her clients include IBM, Agilent, Huawei, China Life Insurance Company, China Unicom Inner Mongolia, Merrill Lynch, Dow Chemical, Samsonite, Joy Mining, and CSoft Solutions, among others.

As a native Chinese speaker, Zhao Min is fluent in both Chinese and English. She received her BA in English Language and Literature from Nanjing University and MBA from Boston University and has obtained training in Transactional Analysis (TA).



MAGDA THÉ

Mental Health Counselor

Magda is a Mental Health Counselor who believes in an holistic approach, taking into account a person’s inner emotional, spiritual, physical, and behavioral health. Her work is primarily informed by a developmental approach with an optimistic view of human potential, building on people’s strengths and resources.

Magda grew up in the Netherlands with Indonesian parents. This helps her to appreciate cross-cultural issues and the questions surrounding one’s identity that arise from being from two different cultures.

Her Christian faith holds an important place in her life. If faith is a resource for a client, she is able to integrate the client’s spirituality in counseling, irrespective of his or her denomination.

She enjoys working with women on a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, stress, anger management, grief and loss, adjustment issues and with women who are coming to terms with traumatic or dysfunctional childhoods.

Magda holds an M.Sc. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a B.A. in Hotel Management and Administration and a M.A. in Culture, Organization, and Management.

She has been living in Beijing for fourteen years.



FRANK WU

Coach

Frank Wu is a certified professional coach, having done business coaching and life coaching in both China and America. He holds a master’s degree from Harvard University and is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute—the first training program for coaches accredited by the International Coach Federation.

Frank began his coaching career in 2004, after joining the Tennessee Coaches Alliance. His clients include individual employees and business units from Fortune-500 companies. He wants to be an ally with high achievers and to help them reach their goals faster through life coaching. He is passionate about letting people experience their soul at a deeper level everyday no matter what their life stage is – being rich or poor, in sickness or in health, feeling happy or sad about themselves.



CARLA KHALSA-CARRUTH

Art Psychotherapist, C.E.A.T., C.T.E.

Carla has been living in China for 7 years where she has mainly worked with local and international organizations as a trainer/consultant setting up mental heath programs for traumatized, sick and handicapped children, adolescents and adults.

Carla practices arts based psychotherapy with individuals, groups, companies and organizations who want to work towards self-development and overcoming difficulties. Her background and training gives her the opportunity to use a variety of approaches and philosophies such as: humanistic, existential, cognitive-behavioral, self-centered and experimental as well as creative arts methods such as: painting, drawing, collage, relaxation techniques, creative writing and psychodrama.

She works with individuals and groups who are facing different issues such as: depression, self-esteem, trauma recovery, life transitions, abuse and loss and grief. In the Art Therapy sessions you can express feelings and emotions with ease, sort out and explore your life experiences, define and implement changes for the present and shape your future, gain awareness over your creative potential and use it to deal with blocks and negative patterns.

Carla is a native of Colombia and speaks Spanish, English, French and Chinese. She holds a BA In Fine Arts, and M.A Arts Psychotherapy. She is also a Certified Expressive Arts Therapist and a Certified Trauma Specialist. Carla is currently studying Traditional Chinese Medicine to offer to her clients a true holistic approach for healing and well being.
